Education is provided through our Dealer Network and provides a variety of seminars geared to the differing needs of all members of the clinical team: Registered Staff, Personal Support Workers/Health Care Aides and all others who support resident care.

Wound Management — Treatment Goals for Registered Staff
This presentation reviews Wound Management with particular references to characteristics of skin, stages of wounds, and common terminology in wound care, treatment goals for all stages and suggested products.

Therapeutic Surfaces
This presentation reviews definitions commonly used in reference to therapeutic surfaces, and general categories (Static & Dynamic). RNAO recommendations for criteria in selecting a surface are reviewed.

Wound Prevention for PSW, HCA LTC
This presentation reviews the role of PSW/HCA’s in Wound Prevention/Management.  It explains characteristics of the skin, stages of wounds, causes of pressure ulcers, prevention of pressure ulcers and pressure relieving interventions.
